Bio:
Laura Fielden holds a doctorate in English Studies from the University of Extremadura as well as an MA in Literature from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She enjoys research in second language acquisition and use from the angles of motivation and technology, as well as figurative language use by second language users in distinct learning contexts. She has participated in numerous national, regional and European projects and published in such journals as Journal of Pragmatics and the International Journal of Applied Linguistics. She lives in Mérida Spain and is a professor of English language and foreign language didactics at the University of Extremadura.
