The Mérida University Center hosts the intensive sessions of the SLS4TEENS European Project on educational innovation in language learning.

The Mérida University Center of the University of Extremadura, through the GEXCALL research group, becomes the epicenter of educational innovation in language learning today, Friday and yesterday, by hosting the intensive sessions of the European SLS4TEENS Project. This project, part of the European University Alliance EU GREEN, brings together experts from five European universities to promote innovative methods in foreign language teaching.

SLS4TEENS: EU GREEN university partnership bears first fruits

The SLS4Teens project involves three EU Green Alliance universities: Extremadura (Spain), Magdeburg (Germany) and Parma (Italy), together with the University of Nantes (France). The project, which analyses the role of neurolinguistics in second foreign language learning, has received funding of €400,000 from the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme.

The launch of the European Universities Alliance for Sustainability: responsible GRowth, inclusive Education and Environment (EUGREEN) (https://www.eugreenalliance.eu/), led by the University of Extremadura together with eight other European universities, will take place between 30 January and 3 February.
