As part of the European University Alliance EUGREEN and the Erasmus+ project SLS4TEENS (Second Language Learning at School for All Teenagers), led by Delphine Guedat-Bittighoffer from the University of Angers, Marie-Ange Dat from Nantes Université co-organised a workshop that brought together experts from three partner institutions: the universities of Magdeburg (Germany), Extremadura (Spain), and Parma (Italy).

Parma, June 10, 2026 – On Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, starting at 9 a.m., the University of Parma’s Via D’Azeglio campus will host the final meeting of SLS4TEENS — Second Language Learning at School for All Teens, an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program and promoted by the European university alliance EU GREEN, of which the University is a partner.

The Second Language Learning at School for all teenagers (SLS4Teens) project, which is a product of the EU-Green alliance, has won a call for projects from the Erasmus+ programme and is looking at the role of neurolinguistics in foreign and second language learning. Delphine Guedat-Bittighoffer, teacher-researcher at Cirpall and coordinator of the project, explains.

The Mérida University Center of the University of Extremadura, through the GEXCALL research group, becomes the epicenter of educational innovation in language learning today, Friday and yesterday, by hosting the intensive sessions of the European SLS4TEENS Project. This project, part of the European University Alliance EU GREEN, brings together experts from five European universities to promote innovative methods in foreign language teaching.

The SLS4TEENS project aims to improve language teaching and learning using innovative oral learning methods and the emotional and affective security of students.

The SLS4Teens project involves three EU Green Alliance universities: Extremadura (Spain), Magdeburg (Germany) and Parma (Italy), together with the University of Nantes (France). The project, which analyses the role of neurolinguistics in second foreign language learning, has received funding of €400,000 from the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme.

The launch of the European Universities Alliance for Sustainability: responsible GRowth, inclusive Education and Environment (EUGREEN) (https://www.eugreenalliance.eu/), led by the University of Extremadura together with eight other European universities, will take place between 30 January and 3 February.
