03/02/2025. Last week, from 28 to 31 January, the first training phase of the European Project SLS4TEENS took place, one of the first projects approved with partners of the European University Alliance EU GREEN. The five partners of the project come from four different countries: Université de Nantes (France), Université d’ Angers (France), Università di Parma (Italy), Universität Otto von Guericke, Magdeburg (Germany) and Universidad de Extremadura (Spain), where the project has its coordination base in the GEXCALL research group (University Center of Mérida).
The SLS4TEENS project aims to improve language teaching and learning using innovative oral learning methods and the emotional and affective security of students. In this project, secondary school language teachers from partner countries receive specific training online and in person, which has been approved by the Regional Government of Extremadura to grant continuing education credits. The training consists of seven innovative modules, including: the role of ICT in education, intercultural communication, language teaching and learning based on neuroscience, affective factors and motivation in the language classroom, exploring grammar teaching and learning, assessment of oral production, and the neurolinguistic approach.
